1.            Gaming Machines Top

Persons under the age of 18 will not be allowed to play on the Gaming Machines.

 

2.            Alcoholic Drinks Top

Persons under the age of 18 will not be served with alcoholic drinks.

 

No drinks other than those purchased or supplied by the Club will be allowed without prior permission of the Secretary or Management Committee.

 

3.            Dogs Top

No dogs will be allowed on the premises other than dogs for the disabled.

 

4.            Domino and Card Games Top

Under no circumstances will gambling be allowed.

 

5.            Sports Bags Top

Sports bags must not be brought into the Club.

 

6.            Standard of Dress Top

A smart and clean standard of dress is expected of all persons using the Club. Entry may be refused or a person may be asked to leave the premises, if in the opinion of the doorperson, or the Secretary / Committee Member, they are not complying with this Bylaw.

 

7.            Cashing Of Cheques Top

Members may cash cheques up to the value of 25 if presented with a cheque guarantee. A fee of 50 pence will be charged for this service and the Management Committee reserves the right to refuse this facility.

 

8.            Hire Of Club Facilities Top

Members may hire the Concert Room, Lounge Bar or New Hall at the discretion of the Management Committee. Applications for hire will be subject to availability and only approved after interview with two of the Management Committee, who will sign the Hire Form to that effect.

 

Upon signing of the Hire Form, the Hirers will be legally bound by the conditions of Hire.

 

Applications for extensions to licensing hours will be at the discretion of the two interviewing Management Committee members to forward for approval by full Management Committee.

Only 26 extensions allowed per year and must be approved by Management Committee.

 

Fees may be waived at the discretion of the Management Committee

10.       Membership Fees Top

Membership fees agreed at the AGM 2000 and remain unchanged, are as follows:

Joining Fee (per Application) 5.00

 

      Club Member 10.00

      Joint Club Membership 15.00

      Reduced Rate Member over 60 years of age 5.00

      Junior Member Aged 5 - 14 1.00

      Aged 15 - 17 2.50

 

Any Member elected to membership during the months of October, November and December shall pay the full subscription due, but that payment shall be deemed to cover the period up to the 31st. December in the following year.

 

11.       Door Entry System (Key Fobs) Top

As agreed at the 1999 AGM, a refundable deposit of 3.50 will be levied for the Key Fobs.

 

Junior Members (15 - 17) wishing to obtain a fob must apply in writing to the Management Committee and they may be allowed a Key Fob at the discretion of the Committee.

 

Junior Members (5 - 14) will not be allowed Key Fobs.

 

Members without Key Fobs must use the intercom system to gain access.

 

12.       Committee Meetings Top

The Management committee will monthly on the second Tuesday of the month commencing at 8.00pm and finishing at 10.00pm unless they determine otherwise.

 

At the first Management Committee Meeting following the AGM the Committee shall elect from its Members a Chairman and Vice-Chairman to preside over Committee Meetings.

 

At the first Management Committee Meeting following the AGM the Committee shall elect from its Members an Entertainment Committee.

 

At the first Management Committee Meeting following the AGM the Committee shall confirm the members of the Bar and Property Committee, which will constitute the Officers of the Club together with the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Management Committee.

 

13.       Junior Members / Young Persons Top

There is no joining fee for Junior Members

 

Junior Membership is only available to Young Persons aged 5 - 17

 

All young persons who are not Junior Members must be signed into the Club as "Guests" and are governed by the Rules covering Guests and Visitors".

 

Junior Members will not be allowed to introduce "Guests and Visitors".

 

Upon attaining the age of 15, Junior Members will be permitted entry into the Club on production of their Membership Card or by using a Key Fob.

 

Entry may be refused at the discretion of the Secretary, Management Committee Member, Doorperson or Bar Manager.

 

An Adult Member must be responsible for the behaviour of Junior Members / Young Persons in their charge and must accompany them whilst they are in the Club premises (including the patio area). Failure to comply with this Bylaw will make offenders liable to expulsion from the Club.

 

Dance floor: Junior Members / Young Persons will not be allowed on the dance floor after 9.30pm unless accompanied by an adult. This is to be at the discretion of the event organisers.

 

14.       Hours Of Opening And Closing Of The Clubhouse Top

The Clubhouse will be open in accordance with the Club licence as approved under the Licencing Act 2003 and in conjunction with Rule 29a

 

The Club will close 30 minutes after the Bar closes.

 

15.       Hours of Opening of the Bar (For the Sale of Intoxicants) Top

The bar will be open for the sale of intoxicants in accordance with the Club licence as approved under the Licencing Act 2003 and in conjunction with Rule 29a as set out in this Bylaw.

 

LUNCH - TIME EVENING

Monday to Friday Closed 7.00pm - 11.00pm

Saturday 12.00noon - 3.00 pm 7.00pm - 11.00pm

Sunday 12.00noon - 3.00pm 7.00pm - 11.00pm

 

The Bar may be opened at other times in accordance with the Club Licence as approved under the Licencing Act 2003 and in conjunction with Rule 29b as the Management Committee may determine.

 

16.       Care Of The Bowling Green Top

Members or Guests and Young Persons in their care, must not stand or walk on the Bowling Green without the prior consent of the Bowls Section and under no circumstances, throw any objects onto the Green.

 

Failure to comply with this Bylaw will make a Member liable to expulsion from the Club.

 

17.       Occupancy Figures Top

The maximum number of persons, excluding bar staff and performing artists (seven in total), permitted to occupy the Club Rooms is specified below.

              Note: All means of access and egress, be it doors, fire doors or pathways must be kept clear in case of fire.

              All pushchairs are a potential tripping hazard in the case of fire emergency and must be kept in the Foyer.
